It's the first day of 2012 and I spent it sleeping most of the time. nice.
This is probably going to be a long post, being the first post of the year.
Countdown yesterday with awesome 52 peeps was fun, and in fact the first time I've ever went for a countdown or celebrated the new year (at least not that I remember). Had dinner, got a good spot at 10pm, talked and played card games till it was time for fireworks! It was quite nice actually. The leaving part after that was the worst and most horrible experience. It was literally a human jam on the roads and it was a second little india. We had supper at lau pa sat spamming satays, before catching the last extended train at 2.20am back home.
Shagged totally. After reaching home, washing up and waiting for my hair to dry, I only went to sleep at 4.30am or so. That explains how my 1st Jan 2012 is spent.
Today we also went to that certain disliked family's new condominium, which was quite nice and big in my opinion. But it is exactly the same reason that puts me off. I wonder why I even went actually.. If you have the money to move to a new condo this spacious and nicely renovated, owning a car on top of that, you should freaking seriously think about treating your mother better.
Rant over.
Looking back, 2011 has been a fruitful and enriching year for me. No matter how much I dislike it numerically.
In 2011, I...
- spent the first 4 days of the year in snowy Korea with my best friend.
- visited Korea (yes, again) twice.
- had the most independent holiday with my sis in HK.
- went on the most relaxing and sinful trip on superstar virgo, since the last time on sun cruise when I was 4.
- experienced how hectic and stressful the working society is, from my experiences in ANZ and IRAS. I dread stepping back into it again one day.
- collected my A level results.
- finally pursued art in university.
- picked up new skills in art and softball.
- felt like I've become a more independent person after experiencing university life, and making my own decisions.
- made a lot of new and awesome friends.
- counted down on new year's eve with friends for the first time.
Of course, there will always be things that I wished I didn't do or things which I should have done. But no use regretting, so I shall just carry it forward and hope that 2012 will be better.
In 2012, I want to...
- spend more time with my family.
- treat my friends better.
- learn to control my temper.
- complain less.
- take more initiative to do housework.
- study harder and finish my work on time.
- not pon so many lessons.
- continually seek to improve myself.
- get gpa 4.2.
- go on a holiday with friends.
- travel to somewhere far with my family.
The list goes on with nitty gritty details but I shall just make do with these in the meantime. Who knows, the world may really end in 2012!
I pray for the best of health, better relations, and academic and career success for all my close ones.
Most importantly, happiness.
Day #11
It's been more than half of your trip and you'll finally be coming back next week! I miss you.
