Wow I haven't blogged in ages. 1.5 months now.. Haha this is boring, I always start my posts by being amazed at how long ago my last post was. Well, life's been all the same but uni applications are the only thing that keeps it exciting! But can kill you with the suspense as well.
Ok so I quit my ANZ job in early march for some time to prepare my portfolio+alot of other stuff for ADM application. What a wise decision indeed! I managed to finish (squeeze) everything in 2 weeks on march 19, and IRAS called me up to goo work on 22 march. Please tell me my time estimation is brilliant. ;)
So far I've been checking taxpayer's forms for error and corrections, spying on other people's income and details, helping lost people file their taxes at the service centre, running away from cockroaches on my computer/table, snacking away on free junk food, folding tons of paper cranes out of post-its. Sounds fun? Not really... but it definitely beats selling credit cards through a phone and having to worry about how to survive every single day.
You know what, I can't stand people who show off how sought after and smart they are on facebook. Yes, this is with regards to the recent buzz on uni apps.
"Going for NUS medicine interview on blabla date at blabla time!".
Like come on do you really have to put the date and time and everything for the whole world to see and go WOWWW you got shortlisted for medicine??? so smart!!! Spits. I mean, it's not anyone's fault you're smart, but it's a problem that you're such a brag.
Or how about, "Oh my should I choose NUS, NTU or SMU biz? I got accepted into all!" S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y. shit you and shut up already! There are people out there who are anxious and waiting for any news, while there are others sticking their smart asses all over facebook.
I can see the logic of 'share the joy' now.
Complaining done! Now's my turn. I went for an aptitude test for NUS architecture 2 weeks ago. Omg so profound... 'the opposition between speed and slowness'. How abstract can it get man.
Also had an interview for industrial design. Sounded quite interesting actually! But sadly I don't really like the NUS environment/culture and also the building. lol this sounds quite lame but yeah.
Today, I GOT ACCEPTED BY ADM!!! Overjoyed x 10000. :) The envelope seriously scared me quite abit because it was so thin. I was expecting an acceptance package to be thick and filled with papers. But who cares the content was enough to keep me smiling the whole time in my bathroom. :) Now I know that all my hardwork, time and MONEY spent in preparing all the stuff for ADM didn't go to a waste at least. Best of all, it's what I had wanted all along since I heard of it. It's the feeling like when I received my mail that got me into TJ IP. Or maybe even better :)
I need a cup of KOI now to celebrate please :)
